Groove Director Probe

Commonly used in examining the mouth of a pediatric patient. It is also used in the treatment of ankyloglossia, or "tongue-tie." One end of the instrument is flat and pear-shaped. The distal end split assists in isolating the tongue and lingual frenum. The probe end is used to examine the rest of the mouth.
